Performance in Elst with the Royal British Legion Pipe Band

On June 8, 2026, several members of the 48th Highlanders of Holland participated in a performance by the Royal British Legion Pipe Band in Elst.

The performance took place during the festivities surrounding the 1300th anniversary of Elst and was characterized by a convivial atmosphere, enthusiastic visitors, and lots of beautiful music.

For the 48th, it was a valuable experience to play together with another pipe band and make new contacts within the Dutch pipe band world.

We thank Frank Janssen and the Royal British Legion Pipe Band for the invitation, the trust, and the hospitable reception. It was a very successful evening that certainly leaves us wanting more.
