The 48th Highlanders Pipes and Drums aims to be a living monument. A monument because we wanted to give something back to the liberators of Apeldoorn and the surrounding area. Furthermore, we aim to make music together, because that's the most beautiful thing there is.
Feel free to drop by during a rehearsal evening. We rehearse every Tuesday evening. Please contact us beforehand so we can discuss things with you and schedule a time for you.

Bagpipes
New enthusiastic members are very welcome. Why do we mention "enthusiastic"? The Scots say: "It takes seven years and seven generations to play the pipe." So, you do need some perseverance, but once you've mastered playing the bagpipe, there's nothing quite like it.
Drums
Besides the bagpipe, we play snare drums, tenors, and bass drums. As you can see, there's something for everyone!
