New Chairman/Secretary at the 48th Highlanders of Holland Pipes and Drums

During our annual general meeting (AGM), our chairman Tonnie van Amersfoort and our secretary Jan Scholten stepped down. After dedicating themselves wholeheartedly to these roles for over 20 years, it was time to pass the baton, or rather, both batons. Both received a certificate from John. Thank you very much, Tonnie and Jan!

There was one application for the position of secretary, and no applications for the position of chairperson. The solution was found in the combined position of chairperson/secretary, and I have therefore assumed this combined role by handing over the gavel.

This combined role will be a challenge, but together with the other board members, we are sure it will work out. A number of band members have also indicated they are willing to offer support, for which we are very grateful.
